Tessa tossed her head back, bringing a cold glass of lum to her lips. She savored the taste for a moment. It had been a long time coming. She was setting the glass down when she felt the barrel of a blaster at her temple. She glared as a smirking Devaronian slid into the seat opposite her.
"Good afternoon, Tessa Drex."
"Yld." She tossed him a complementing smirk. "I thought you wanted to talk."
His teeth were daggers. "That's what I intend. You understand I'd feel more comfortable if you were unarmed."
Sighing, she removed the blasters slung on each hip. Slowly, first one, then the other. She placed them on the table, facing the barrels away from Yld. The Devaronian took one and pointed it at her. Satisfied, the goon over her shoulder removed the pistol at her head and took his place next to his boss. Another goon staked his terriorty at Yld's other side. Three lowlifes that had bad things in mind for her. Three blasters pointed at her heart.
"Seems a little one-sided, don't you think?" she asked, carefully taking another sip of lum.
"Forgive me," Yld replied. The grip on the blaster didn't loosen. "I hear you have something I want."
"Well, make me an offer."
"I don't think so."
"No?"
"I think I'd rather just take it from you."
"That's...not ideal."
Yld laughed The hired goons moved closer.
With a quick flick of her wrist, the small blaster up her sleeve fell into Tessa's open palm. Another quick movement swept the blaster in an arc before each of her assailants, her finger pumping the trigger at each one.
They slumped onto the table.
Tessa shrugged to the bartender.
"Sorry."
